![]() We got some fantastic writing from them for this. Then each child got their own sheet to fill in how they wanted. Superheroes Day is an annual event celebrated on October 30th, which was created to honor the fictional superheroes from comic books, TV shows, and movies. To start off we did one with the whole class: Fun, Engaging Bible Lessons on the Superhero Bible stories of David and Goliath, Daniel and the Lions Den, and Jesus as the greatest superhero. Lastly, we did a “Create your own Superhero” sheet with them. We also used two writing prompts to add to our writing journals: “5 super things that I can do” and “My everyday superhero”. Then I put them up on our bulletin board outside our classroom (I will have a picture of that in my next post). Next we worked on creating our own superhero emblem with our own superpower written on it. No matter what you are teaching in math right now, a superhero theme makes it fun With these free preschool and kindergarten worksheets engage your students in skip counting, graphing, numbers and addition. Every week includes 5 read aloud books with activities, 5 literacy activities, 5 math activities, and 5 sensory bins, science/social studies, and/or art. I got a few answers along the lines of “I fly”, so I would ask them again: “How are you an everyday superhero at home or at school? What is your very own super power? ” that’s when the good answers started to come out. ![]() I asked the students to tell me what their super powers were. Continuing our theme of superhero activities (see my previous post here), we have done a few literacy based centers using “You can be an Everyday Superhero”.
